"Adam Rudolph's compositions performed by his Organic Orchestra are the volatile elements of musical aesthetics, which gives rise to the study of the relationship of music to the human senses and intellect."

-Yusef Lateef 2002

The music of Organic Orchestra was inspired by observing and reflecting upon elements and qualities of Nature. The invention of the notation/conducting system grew from my ongoing desire to experiment with new creative processes. In concert, the conducting was performed in service of the moment; listening and imagination informed the unfolding of music gestures. The musicians were called upon to express their ideas and experiences. Special thanks goes to them for their open-mindedness and creativity in bringing this new music to life.
